i know every body says dont buy a project truck but that is exactly what i am looking for. i was wondering if any one knew where i could find a 4-door hmmwv project truck relatively close to richmond va

By project do you mean a twisted up heap or a rolling chassis? I find it crazy how some people can take a pile of wreckage and turn it into a presentable vehicle

i would perfer a rolling chassis but i am limited to what i can spend so it seems that a combination of the two is what i am looking for

prob about 10k. most ppl on here are purist MV kinda ppl. the more unoriginal it is the less it's worth to us.

You can find them pretty easy if you don't mind paying for them . If you're searching for bargains they can be very scarce.

You're about to jump into a very expensive project. I know your dead set on a project truck but it really is cheaper to buy one whole .

My HMMWV body came from Ft Polk, someone had a bunch of them down this little dirt road, but that was 1994. Wonder if that was you oldmechanic. Vaguely remember turning off the road somewhere near where Tech Service is.

Yeah I know I am better off with one that is already working but I don't have that much money to work with right now and I know it is going to get pricy in the long run but this is what I want to do. I know what I am looking for is very rare as far as deals go but if someone could help me out as far as finding a tub it would be much appericated
