I am not calling anyone names here, just a quick lesson on english vocabulary.....
The ORIGINAL definition of the word
IGNORANT was: <noun> one who choses to
IGNORE. Modern english has forgotten this formerly popular meaning. I found it in an unabridged dictionary published in 1928 - and even then they noted it as a now obscure definition.
Now, how does this apply to this thread....
If a pollutant pollutes, and an irritant irritates, that obviously, one who choses to ignore is an
IGNORANT
Therefore, once you know the proper way to display the Flag of the United States of America, if you chose to violate that protocol you are simply an IGNORANT. (Or as General Patton would colorfully announce: "You poor ignorant bastard".)
IMHO: Fly your flag correctly and respectfully, please.
