Proportioning Valve switch/ Brake warning light

Hi, I have a M 1028 and someone mixed silicone brake fluid with Dot 3 fluid and I started having problems with the brakes so I replaced Everything and blew out all the lines. I replaced the proportioning valve and when I took the old one out I found the pin on the brake switch was broken off and stuck inside. So the light never worked. After replacing everything I bled the brakes and use one of those bleeder tools that go in the proportioning valve to center it. Then when I took it out and installed the switch the brake light came on and I can't get the valve to center or reset. I've tried bleeding it more, I tried to center it with a pick, I tried the button on the side, but it doesn't seem to move? The brakes work great and there is a good pedal but the light is still on? Tried stomping on them too to reset it. Do you think it needs to be replaced again or taken apart and centered? Thank you

Several really hard crash stops from about 10 mph has worked for me. Even though nothing in any manual suggest doing that. I have been at the point you are now with nothing left to try or lose and 3-5 good sustained stomping/skiddings has done the trick.
