PU-751m question

Can anyone with a PU-751 tell me what the distance from the top of the MEP-002A (without ASK) and the bottom of the bows is? I have a MEP-002A (without ASK... for now) mounted on a 3x5 garden trailer and would like to make a cover for it. I want to ensure that I give proper clearance for everything.

Also from the pictures in the manuals it looks like you can safely run an MEP-002A with the top on and side rolled up, can anyone confirm this is true and safe?

As long as the exhaust is getting out and fresh air is getting in you should have no problems.
