Do you think this thermocouple would work on the Deuce? It is kind of short and metric. It is a little longer than 3/8" long. Do you think I would get a good reading? Is there a way to test a thermocouple-pyrometer installation without fancy test equipment?

The thermocouple normally used is a "K"type and any pyrometer gauge calibrated for this type will work, including, possible your digital multimeter.
Installed post turbo there wouldn't be a problem, but pre turbo may be, since some probes are not made to be exposed to temps of 1,200-2,000 °F and a probe failure could mean a ruined turbo also.....
