Question about German vehicle/tank colors

Hi y'all!
With us currently nearing completion of offering essentially the full line up of US MV colors, we're looking to expand into offering German vehicle/tank colors as well. From what I've found there seems to be a decent bit of debate and speculation as to the appearance of some of these colors as well as how they relate to the RLM and RAL color systems. Our priority starting out will be on Panzer Gray, Panzer Yellow, and RAL 8000. This has left me with a few different questions I was hoping to get some help with to help us ensure we provide a satisfactory product.

Am I correct in my understanding that the ground vehicle paint colors related directly to an older version of the RAL system, which has since had some of those colors removed?

Am I correct in my understanding that the RLM system does not have any direct/significant relation to the RAL system & any colors that crossover are purely coincidental?

I've seen some conflicting info, is Panzer Gray RAL 7016 or 7021? Or is there an early and late, making them both technically correct?

It's my understanding Panzer Yellow is RAL 7028 and that there is technically a late version that saw very limited use, which we're not sure if we'll make. With RAL 7028 being discontinued, other than a direct comparison to an original part with limited UV exposure, is there a particular model paint brand that would be close to the correct appearance at full scale? I've been hesitant to use this as a sample considering most are modified for the lighting of smaller scale application.

Also, I've read in a couple places that (some of or all of?) Rommel's forces used solid color RAL 1002 during an unclear timeframe in Northern Africa. Is this confirmed or just speculation? Is there a known timeframe for this?

One of the references I used, which also seems to be one of the most detailed, is "theworldwars dot net." On there he lists a number of different schemes/patterns:
Early war disruptive scheme (1939-40) (2 color), Dunkelgrau scheme (1940-43) Standard (1 color), Dunkelgrau scheme (1940-43) Winter (2 color), Dunkelgrau scheme (1940-43) Afrika 1 (3 color), Dunkelgrau scheme (1940-43) Afrika 2 (3 color), Afrika 1 scheme (1941) "DAK Early" (2 color), Afrika 1 scheme (1941-42) (2 color), Afrika 2 scheme (1942-43) (2 color), Tricolor Scheme (Feb 1943) (3 color), Tricolor Scheme (August 1943) (3 color), Tricolor Scheme (August 1943) Winter (4 color), Tricolor scheme (August 1944) (3 color), Tricolor scheme (September 1944) (3 or 4 color, unclear if RAL 8017 was even used), Tricolor scheme (October 1944) (4 or 5 color, unclear if RAL 8017 was even used), & Tricolor Scheme (1945)
Do any of these schemes/patterns have additional or different names? Are there any schemes/patterns missing from the list?

Here's the list of RAL colors I've compiled from different sources that appear to have some level of use for ground vehicles:
RAL Number Listed in RAL Deck RAL Name
RAL 1002 Yes Sandgelb (Sand/Sand Yellow)
RAL 1006 Yes Gelb/Maisgelb (Yellow/Maize Yellow)

RAL 7021 Yes Dunkelgrau/Schwarzgrau/Panzergrau (Black Gray/Panzer Gray)
RAL 7027 No Grau/Sandgrau (Sand Gray)
RAL 7028 No Dunkelgelb (Dark Yellow/Panzer Yellow)
RAL 8000 Yes Gelbbraun/Grünbraun (Brown Yellow/Green Brown)
RAL 8002 Yes Signalbraun (Signal Brown)
RAL 8012 Yes Rotbraun (Hull Red/Red Brown)
RAL 8017 Yes Rotbraun/Schokoladenbraun (Red Brown/Dark Brown/Chocolate Brown)
RAL 8020 No Braun (Brown)
RAL 9001 Yes Cremewiss/Cremeweiß (Cream)

Any and all insight/help is appreciated!
Thank you!
