So Ive had a bunch of people reach out who have purchased 11 series HMMWvs that originally had armored doors of one kind or another. Trouble is when Gov planet sells them sometimes they have no doors, and no B pillar. So nothing to see what originally came on them, We can look up parts but the drawings arent the same as seeing it in person.
My question is, if a person has a vehicle that originally had the hard top and armored doors, under all the (a pillar and B pillar) brackets All the mounting holes are there for the std soft door hinge and strikers correct?
I have a 1097 with soft top so I dont have all the holes as the later model vehicles with the one pc hinge, so mine is different. But from all the photos Ive seen it looks like you could retrofit (backdate?) an armored door model (flat or angled) to soft door style angled dooprs and hardware. Anyone can shed some light?
I appreciate it!
