So this was the issue with my accelerator fraying at plastic peice.

so I have already unhooked from pedal and engine side

first time doing throttle cable so was wondering do i need to cut cable at ball on cab end or is there a trick to pulling it through firewall ? was reading through the 34 TM sec 3-37 for removal of cable from assembly but not through firewall. attached are some pictures for reference. I did read through the 20 TM, and in sec 3-23 it goes over the accelerator cable removal and install, but nothing about the clips pictured on the bulkhead

cab throttle cable in firewall in a sleeve

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well,

In the meantime, I figured it out, had 2 clips on the cab side of firewall, a scredriver and some needle nose pliers and ripped that old broken sucker out, and replaced with the new one.

So, bit of an oddity, is i got it to work, at least for the trip to the parts store to get some stuff I need to get it in there and replace some screws I lost in the process :p, and yet again I realize there are tools which I need that I do not have, and I intend to fix that first thing after I get off work.
