I was helping my father move this past weekend and on the way home I went over some rail road tracks. Right after that I started smelling coolent. I was not running hot so I went on the 3 miles home, water was pooring out I opened the hood and where the top hose goes on the radiator broke off. Has this ever happined to any one else? The top hose is short and very stiff very little flex in it. I figured that might have caused the problem. What kinda hose is prefered?:(

It broke or the solder cracked? Should be an easy fix. It shouldn't have happened though, you got it bolted down good?

Just a update, Me and a dude I work with (mainly him) tried to fix the radiator. Long story short it cost $240 and I got a fixed radiator from the radiator shop. That will teach me to try to fix stuff like that on my own. But its in the truck no leaks and shes running fine.
