Radiator question.

You mean the transmission oil cooler that is on top of the actual radiator? This is how all of them are.
Civilian H1s can also have the aircon condenser in the stack as well.


The various coolers together are commonly referred to as the cooling stack.

The stock HMMWV has 4 radiators: One for engine coolant (the "classic" radiator we all know, an engine oil cooler and a transmission fluid cooler (these are in a combined unit that sits on top of the large radiator) and lastly a power steering fluid cooler (that's the little one 3" thick that sits along the leading edge of the group.
Together these 3 units, with four coolers, are collectively referred to as the Cooling Stack by most of us.
