Rear axle length

I have my Duece parked so I have only 38 inches on the drivers side and am wondering what length the rear axle shaft is on that side, I need to replace the wheel seals. If it's any longer I will have to move to a bigger area. Thanks Todd

Not necessary to move it, you only need 35" from tire to wall to remove that axle shaft!

See drawing. Measurements are +/- 1/8".

Thanks for the help. But right now I only have 38 inches from the end of the axle to the wall. Looks like I'll be moving it, thanks much. Todd

In that case you might only be short of less than 1"!
I would give it a try anyways!

I had plenty of room to remove the axle shaft,cleaned up the hub, greased the bearings and cleaned the wheel, installed new seals and small piece of cork in the keyway. Now it's ready to go, would've taken pictures but my hands were a little dirty. Thanks Todd
