Does anyone run the rear outer seals in the front hubs? I'm trying to stop water from entering the front wheelbearings. I have selectro lockouts on the front and they are no where near leak proof. I've replaced o-rings in them and they still leak. And i'm convenced it's the lockouts becaust when i install the original hubs the leaks stop. Anyone tried using the outters in the front?

They should work fine. Everything is the same as the rear. I plan to run seals on the front, because any leak from the boots will allow water or mud to get in the bearings. Gimpy is running no hubs on his truck, due to axle problems, and has seals to keep the road dirt/water out.

Strech, Thanks, I changed the boots also thinking that was part of my problem. Looks like the outer seals will do the trick.

Yes, they will work. I like using them because they also keep grease in.

The only seal on the axle shaft, other than the boot, is the bushing.
