Rear seat on M1009

I know the rear seat folds down but is it also suppose to lift up, i see what looks like a handle behind it but i can't get it to move, somebody please let me know before i throw my back out on this one, thanks ya'll

oil and a prybar. mine was the same way. it may take some work but it should come free. probably for the first time if it had a radio mount table over it.

PB Blaster! Just don't break it. It most likely has some rust. Things break when you get in a hurry. There also could be stuff in the holes where it locks on the floor. If you look under where the lift bar is at the floor you will see the two places it locks in. Get some air and blow it out. They hold untold treasures I found a live round in there and spent brass along with dirt and broken glass.

thanks ya'll for the help, yeah sprayed it with PB Blaster let it sit awhile and was able to finally get it to release, didn't find anything good except a small drill bit
