Hi,
First acquisition in 2022.
Save in extremis from destruction.
This is a 1943 Dodge WC 63.
I am planning a rebuild originally.

Fram number: 820 62 387
Cab N°: 4270 -2413
Hood N°: 2208885-S

Immediate objective,
cleared and if possible start the engine on its chassis before sandblasting.
At this level, the essential Tool is the blowtorch.

Wow good job with the archeology! The yellow paint was for gas detection I believe and was only applied at certain eras of the war.

Yes, a lot of patience for this result.
Correct, yellow is the gas detection color.
I think I can say that the dimension of the yellow circle is significantly larger than a WC52 and that there cannot be an outer white circle.

I forgot to mention the blue gray color of the first marking applied at the factory 2 "against the second white marking repainted during the war 4".

Does engine turn? Lots of openings pointed up with no cover ….
No, it does not turn, often the valves are the problems.
The truck stayed for years in a barn whose roof is collapsed. So it passed only a few years in the field.
