Removing Silvery Primer (???) Under Tire Shine?
The shop that sandblasted my M105 thought they were doing me a favor and put on some kind of tire shine. I wasn't thrilled but figured it would wear off quickly. When I 1st saw it, I commented and the office guy didn't say what it was but that it was designed not to dry out or harm the tires.
As soon as some of the back flaked off, I noticed what appeared to be a silvery primer underneath. I tried scratching it w/ a key but it didn't wanna come off really easy - much like it was painted.
Does anybody have an idea what this might be and the best way to remove it? I don't have a soda blaster and I suspect it'll take a lot of pressure washing unless there's something to loosen it.
I'm going to check w/ the shop tomorrow but I have the day today to work on it. Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks.
Steve
