I will be taking delivery of my newly purchased 70 M35A2 next month and will begin the "shortening / modification" process. Has anyone given any thought to renaming the newly redesigned truck. Bobbed / Shorty / Bob'd just doesn't do it justice.
I think there will be significant interest in the "modified" deuce and think we should create !some "branding" for it and think of it, it all started on SS! I am drafting and mailing a letter to TRUCKS, the TV Show to see if they would be interested in seeing my transformation.
Here are some suggestions that I have come up with. My picks my be: 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8.
1) MUV - Military Utility Vehicle
2) M35MUT - M35 Monster Utility Truck
3) M35MUT - M35 Military Utility Truck
4) M-QUAD - Military Quad Utility Deuce
5) QUMV - Quad Utility Military Vehicle
6) MUDOS - Military Utility Deuce On Steroids
7) DOS - Deuce on Steriods
SMUT - Shortened Military Utility Truck
9) MSMT - M-Series Monster Truck
10) RUMV - Rugged Utility Military Vehicle
11) SAMV - Single Axle Military Vehicle
12) SUMST - Shortened Utility M-Series Truck

I noticed a comment by someone the other day directed to a new registrant to SS that what did he know and does he deserve any respect since he's only a Private! Gee, I feel bad, Having only bought and gone through just under a 100 vehicles and trailers over the last 25 years I may be stepping on toes here. But, more to the point, I like something more personal, like Bob. Or perhaps M354X4, hey, that might be a neat alternative handle when I get mine. I'm gonna register that right now. It'll be year before I have mine on the road, but, might as well start early.
