For those who like to drive their MVs, a good destination in the West is the annual Camp Plymouth Military Vehicle Show & Swap Meet in Plymouth,CA. It is April 16 through 19, 2025. Largest annual MV event west of the Mississippi. We draw people from most western states, even a couple foreign countries.
The West is a big place and that can mean long drives. From Los Angeles it is 385 miles. From Phoenix, AZ or Seattle, WA, 800 miles. One way to do it is in a convoy with other MVers, including people hauling a MV who want to drive in a group. If you want to find other SS members who want to do that, use this forum to announce it, your route, and day you will start. Also mention it on the Events forum where the event details are posted. Many of the readers over there probably don't watch this forum and some might live near you, or along your route. Here a link to the event:

You will see that both campgrounds are available from the prior Sunday. Our discounted group rate at the 49erVillage is good all week. Camping details will be available by November 5 but I can provide some rough numbers. By the way, tent camping is at the fairgrounds, not the adjacent 49er Village RV resort. But deuce or 5-ton trucks with shop bodies converted to campers qualify, as do camper shell pickups. Last time I saw a pickup with a tent in the bed made for pickup camping. That was OK with management.
