School me on starter wiring

So, im gonna be pulling my starter, cleaning it out and replacing it, i just need a quick runthrough of how the power gets to the starter and where the ignition switch and relay come in to play. A diragram would be even better, i just wanna be able to troubleshoot quickly before i send it out for a rebuild or buy one. Thanks

The -34 TM has the wiring diagram in it. Basically, large power wire comes from the 24V block on the firewall. Then, the solenoid gets 24V from the same block, but it comes through the relay under the dash.

must have missed it, ill double check, but battery to ignition to relay to starter?

looked at it, saw an awesome dissasemly on the starter, but no diagram how its wired up in the truck. Or did i miss it?
