Scuffed pistons/ liners

I've seen the pistons out of a couple of motors, didn't see any scuffing. But they didn't have anywhere near 3,000 hours on them.

Scoring pistons can happen on any engine. Too much heat, not enough cooling. Could be from high coolant temps or too much fuel in a diesel. In a gasser, same thing, too high coolant temp, timing, being lean.
