Serial number and year database

Hey, what do you all think about creating a database for the M35A2 wher we can input the serial number and year?
That would help those of us who need to extrapolate from the data, our year of manufacture.

While this is a great idea, I'd bet that better than half of the deuces in civilian hands are incorrectly dated. It's amazing what years get attached to what vehicles. I know this has been said before but most of us are better off forgeting the years of the trucks, it really doesn't matter with depot overhauls and the such. There's just no rhyme or reason to the VIN# and the year of the vehicle. As long as we have a general idea of what mfrs were making trucks during a specific period than we should do OK. I'm certian that there are no 1969 Studes and there certainly aren't any 1965 AM Generals. Might find a 1965 Kaiser Jeep or a 1986 AM General though.

Maccus, for that very reason its sometimes worth the hassle to get a truck from the Gov't that doesn't have a year so you can assign one to it.
