Just purchased a "1972" m109 shop tool truck the data plate reads "identification no. 0230-10024 4j9429"
under that says "mfd. By yr mfd 1966"
the next line reads "contract no. Da-20=113-amc-072411
two idendtifiers on the left frt frame read "023010024" which matches the data plate and the next group of numbers reads "

i am reading all this that my truck is 1966 not a 1972. I did't think amc was making m35/m109 in 1966.
Anyone have any input on this.

Yep, I have a 1967 m109 and it was built by Kaiser Jeep.

Kaiser Jeep was purchased by AMC in 1970. My 1966 M109 is a Kaiser also.
