SF-15-MD/6115-922-8690 15KW Genset

Hello,
Stumbled across an older SF-15-MD Genset, and curious what they normally go for, and if any parts are available. Guy doesn't have much info on it. It's not currently running. Has 1736 hours on it, was rebuilt in 1971 @ 1704 hrs. MFG date of 1967, with a Hercules engine. He's asking $1000 for it, but it's 2hrs away. Don't want to sink money into something not worth it/not repairable. Thoughts?

This is a cousin to the MEP 004A which can be configured 120V single phase, 120/240 single phase and 3 phase 208/120 or 416/208

two print manuals are available on eBay at the moment.
The control cubicle and exciter /AC voltage regulator should be similar to the 004A / 005A
The gauges are the same, battle short switch is called Emergency Run.
This unit has a manual excitation switch so excitation is not automatic, may not have S9 switch. It has the a on / off switch for the electric governor which would make this an precise unit.

All these features were automated in the 004A / 006A and the 416(I think)

not sure as to asking price or availability of parts.
electrical parts like switches, relays etc can be substituted

unit is pretty faded out and weathered
from sitting outside for a very long time.

1967 was an excellent year for Trollinger and Riesling, or so I was told……

I figured, I may just snatch one of the two manuals on eBay and look of what we got here.
Pretty nifty, electronic governor, 12 lead head, I would say everything is repairable on the electrical / electronic side.
Maybe the engine experts can jump in and state their opinion on that end.
