Finally got an SF97 for my one M1008. can you transfer ownership with just the SF97 or do you have to apply for your state's title first? thanks

I'm not sure but I think only a reg. motor dealer can direct reasign ownership.
Might be just as easy for you to pay the 22.50 title fee on Pa. then you could transfer as any other sale.

Better to get your state title unless you have to pay sales tax... A
1008 in VT transfers without a title because of age... so a non titled bill of sale works here.

On my 1028a1 GL took the state sales tax out, this particular M1008 they didn't. Looks like a trip to the nearest notary who transferred the M1028a1. thanks

How long did it take to get your SF97 back, mine has been over 3 1/2 weeks and have not herd anything.

Took 7 weeks, they signed the form 9/11/07, I got it back 11/06/07. good Luck
