Shaft on the fuel injector pump

I am trying to replace my fuel injector pump on my 1009 but when I took the fuel injector pump off the shaft did'nt come off with it.

Anybody have any ideas, thanks in advance

did you unbolt it from the gear? I think its time to get a repair manual and take a look.

There are 3 bolts that connect the pump drive flange to the pump drive gear which are accessed by removing the oil fill tube on the front of the motor. To remove all three, the crankshaft needs to be rotated. The pump should NOT have come out without removing these bolts first.
