If it was stored correctly, the desiccant would have absorbed any moisture, so no problem. Even if it was exposed to atmosphere, it will be fine -- It not a Honda.

i know, it's just odd they left it taped to the lift point. maybe that is to allow condensation to escape.

actually,that is so the next guy to touch it knows it is dry and to add oil when installing.
