The south Koreans are famous for knocking off all types of technology.....we gave them a lot of military vehicles and they rebuilt and repowered a lot of them. In some cases they used our design and manufactured their own.
When I was over there I saw a lot of "Kimchee" M-37's, M-715's, deuces and 5 tons.
They seemed to run fine and all of them had diesels in them.
