Sprung hood at 30mph. Binding against cowl. Help

Overlooked latching and now I can’t get the hood open. Looks like the blow forced the bolts to pull the rear of the hood downwards. I can only get the hood open 6 inches before it binds against the cowl. Any ideas on how to procede?

Get the nylon wedges out and attempt to separate the hood from the cowl screen. It won't take much. Skip the Sawzall. Use care and you will prevail. It sounds like it needs some adjusting at this point. Don't the safety catch hold either?

CUCVRUS,
I was just checking to make sure you were paying attention.
You passed the test.
For some reason I had visions of a bent hood that was already junk.
I quess it pays not to jump to conclusions.

Thanks for the follow up post.
Often times we are left wondering if someone resolved the issue.
Glad it worked out.
