Is the inner portion af a deuce wheel tapered? If you could cleanly remove the center of a deuce wheel would whats left be the same circumference/diameter on both the inner and outer edges?

I think the wheel shell is the same ID, if that's what you're asking.

The lip that supports the center is narrow not giving you much in movement of centers. I've got a bunch of rivet wheels for RDM. He was going to attempt a similar feat.

I have been saying this over and over. UPS uses 22.5 six lug budd wheels. They rotate through them fairly quickly. If you can't find out where they 'junk' their wheels to, then contact a big rig 'wrecking yard'.

They will ALSO have the six lug budd wheels. THEY WORK GREAT. If you can find the right person, they are CHEAP also.

You can then use big rig truck tires that last 100k miles and ride really well.

Kenny, RDM now has six wheels/tires waiting for him at Wayne's.
They are welded, but he said he'd take them anyway. Looks like a much more difficult job to separate than riveted wheels....
