Feels like a dumb question, but I'm not 100% sure on this one so I needed to ask it. I picked up a MFY-6714UT starter, NSN 2920-01-507-7423. It's unfortunately a bit different than the MFY-6701 units that are detailed in the TMs I have. The wiring of the actual starter motor itself was obvious and it also still lined up with the TM perfectly well, but the solenoid assembly is a bit different. I wasn't 100% sure where wires 74A and 74B were supposed to go. I know they power the solenoid, but I don't know the proper terminals and polarity for these. The TM implies that these two are bound together on what looks like the only properly sized terminal left; however, I was hesitant since one ring had red insulation and the other had black...
Here are some photos I pulled from a listing of the part, since it's a little troubling to get good photos of mine with it already mounted up in the HMMWV.
Oh, and does anyone have the torque spec for the terminal nuts for the starter motor? Thanks.
