starter rebuild and installation

I know when i say this some one will chime in and say its easy but installing that bastardo was brutal. I had to replace the starter gear because it would grind about 30% of the time. If your starter goes out plan on getting about 2-3 friends to hold that boat anchor. I pucker up each time i crank that truck scared it might grind and I will have to take it back off

The bracket on the motor mount is a must....if its not there, your starter will eventually break bolts and fall off.
There are old thin style, and newer thick style brackets.
