SteelSoldiers MV of the Month April 2015

Welcome to the May 2015 MV of the Month Competition!

To submit a nomination the rules are simple:

1. - You may nominate another SS Members vehicle, or your own. Please do not nominate non-member vehicles.

2. - ONE good photo must be submitted with your nomination. (Not a link)

3. - Previous winners from the current year cannot be re-nominated.

4. - One vehicle nomination per member per month (It's to keep things fair).

5. - We are limited to 20 vehicles per month for the contest. Once we get 20 vehicles nominated OR at 20:00hrs (8PM) on 15 May, (whichever comes first), the nomination thread will close and the "Vote Thread" will open.

6. - Please do not "campaign" for your favorite MV on this thread...wait for the "Vote Thread" then have at it!!

7. - Please do not use the PM feature to "spam" folks asking for votes for your favorite vehicle.

8. - Please do not nominate another members vehicle without that members knowledge/permission. (We had a small issue with that last month and the vehicle had to be pulled).

Super nice truck! One request though. Please pick the ONE pic you want to represent the truck in this thread. That ONE pic will be transferred to the "VOTE Thread" when it opens and you can post all the pics ya want and do some campaigning as well.

it is sold but not left my possession yet...still adding a few more goodies. Plus I built it, bled on it and sweated on it so Id say it qualifies regardless.

Actually, I'm a little undecided about this situation...and I'm NOT the decision maker so don't shoot me...or him...BUT, I'll express my personal opinion and cite rule # 1 and #8 as a basis for my indecision.

You say you SOLD the vehicle so technically...it's no longer yours (rule #1) even though you're still in possession of it.

Is the person you sold it to a member of SS? Please post his screen (SS) name, Rule #8 may apply here...and we did have a situation with that last month and a vehicle had to be taken out of the competition.

Believe me, I'm not trying to be a nit picker here but I think we may need a little more info to avoid possible conflict later on in the thread.

It IS a beautiful truck, whoever owns it!

Sorry but that's kinda the rules. Only the current owner can enter a vehicle/claim it for the contest. It's not meant to exclude anyone. Just prevent "weird feelings" of someone's build being "claimed" by someone else.

I guess I have to get a little nit picky, are you owner of the truck still according to title? If yes, will you remain owner until the end of this month?

Just to be sure I'm clear on the rules...

Rule #1 says you can nominate your vehicle(owned) or another SS Members vehicle.
Rule #8... added this month (by me) when this thread started, says you need the other SS Members permission to nominate his/her vehicle if you don't own it.
I added this rule because of the issue we had last month where a member did not want his vehicle entered for very understandable personal reasons.

If I screwed up anything, I apologize but all the rules are very clear to me.

I guess the answer is...yes...I own the vehicle...or yes...I asked the SS member I'm nominating the vehicle for and he/she/it said it was OK, and his/her/it's SS name is.....

I still have the title and happy to send a pic of it to ya Andrew. I don't deliver the truck and title till this Sat. Just take my posts down and I will bow out. Just trying to use this thread as an opportunity for more people to see our trucks. My opinion is that if Chip Foose builds a 1967 mustang it's still considered a Chip Foose car regardless of the owner. I feel the same about the trucks we build. Didn't realize the rules had such thin lines... So to solve the issue I will just retract my nomination
