I spent the day with y Deuce ... and finally took the time to read some of the stickers and etc that the US and A Army glued to it.

One of them tells me that this truck has a TACOM APPROVED brake system installed.

Another tells me that there is a TACOM APPROVED HydraVac in the system.

So I just took the time and did a search to see if anybody ever came across this before.

It turns out that there are about 6 threads in which people asked about this ... but nobody knew anything.

See :

so anyoldways ... does anybody know anything about this wonderful approval from TACOM ... whoever the heck they are?

Just so's you know ... mine is a 1968 AM General ... that got overhauled in 7/1990 at some Toole place (from another sticker).

Now I can sleep at night knowing our vehicles are approved and we have a multiple paged document outlining strategies and means in which to deal with aging and deterioration.....

I remember something about some bad air pacs that were out there, and they all got inspected. The good ones got the stickers.
