Temp Idiot Light

Quick question, the transmitter listed below what is it reading? coolant? oil?

In the TM 9-2320-289-20P it is listed as #1 Transmitter, Temperature GM P/N 25037177.

It is NAPA P/N ECH TS6642 and called Temperature Sender Light Switch.

That is the coolant temperature light. For the idiot light as you called it. My Kubota has a steam whistle that blows when the temperature gets high. Ingenious. Happy Easter.
