In my learning process I read about a TH400 Shift Improver Kit. Anybody ever heard of these and does it even apply to our vehicles? It is new to me.

Provides crisp shifts on any stock automatic transmissions.
Elimination of soft sluggish shifts, shift overlap, and excess wear on clutches and bands due to slippage.
Improves transmission life.
Transmission removal not required. The B&M Shift Improver Kit the easiest way to get the stout performance you've always wanted out of your automatic transmission - and you get two modes of performance to select from: Heavy Duty, or Street/Strip. It's our least expensive and simplest to install kit. All you need are a few dollars and some hand tools! In the space of an afternoon, you can turn your transmission into a B&M-tuned unit! Just ask the thousands of satisified customers that have installed one in their transmissions!

Found this from tm america doing a search. The shift kit seemed interesting though.

shift kits raise the shift points not lower them they raise line pressure to about 180 with a manual valve body or a trans brake if you put one of those springs in the pressure regulator you will have to add some weight to the gov to get it to shift anywhere near right since it will take more gov pressure to over come the shift valves with more line pressure more weight onb the gov makes it shift earlier since the weight will sling out faster . so to maove shift point with the gov you need stiffer springs or heavier weights but .its ussually a gov sticking or a lack of vacume
Shift Kit in M1008?
