Today a friend of mine offered me 4 Michelin XZLs 16/20 that have never been mounted on rims . Think I'm getting a deal at $400.00 for all four will they fit my standard 1992 M923 rims ?

That's a screaming deal.
You may get some rubbing up front at full lock, and they'll hit the bed at full articulation.
Hemtt rims will fix the rub. You really have to push things to get them to hit the bed.
