Tire /wheel question

I searched, but couldn't find an answer, so......
Has anyone put 11.00R20 G177's on the 10" x 20" bolt together 5 ton combat wheels?
I like the look and safety of the bolt together rim, and the bead lock feature.But want the G177's for durability.

Within that range you should easily be good to go. We have 1200x20 on 900x20 stock rims no problem.And the wrecker takes 1100 or 1200 standard.

I was trying to find recommended minimum and maximum rim widths for the g177's, but no luck. Also wondering if the bead thickness will work with the rubber bead lock inserts.
These are going on a ford F700, singled.

The combat rim is for tubeless tires, the 11.00-20 is a tube type tire.

I thought from the searching I did, the G177's are tubless tires ran with a tube only because of the lock ring rim?

Does the F700 have 10 lug? My F600 (4 x 4) has 6 lug. I used M105 trailer tires/wheels to give it new shoes. The G177 is radial and (I think) can be used tubeless...and without bead-lock if your staying on the road and keep higher pressure.

I don't see a problem with an 11" tire on a 10" wide rim, but am no expert. Have you looked into 12.00 or is the availability of 11.00 G177, the driving consideration?

My F700 is a 1995 crew cab with a p pump 12 valve cummins. It is a 10 lug. I currently have the combat wheels in question on the truck with 15.50's on it, cool but not a smooth highway speed ride.

11.00 is a lot smaller tire and would help with the bounce. I bet the Goodyear specs on that tire will tell you the max rim width. Beads would both be "industrial" so should work.

What do you consider highway speed for your application? Have you checked the speed rating of the G177?

G177's aren't speed rated (labeled) because they are an over the road tire, highway speeds are not a problem for them. They are a tubeless radial.

Might be a challenge to seat the beads unless you run a beadlock insert.

An 1100R20 is only rated for a rim width of 7.5-8" you may be able to stretch the width another .5" for light duty use. 10" is way to wide and will change the flex point too much.

Nope. Tube type.

There 1200R 20, 12.5R20 14.5R20 and all the standard big singles people use can be ran either way.

You can run a G177 in an emergency on a 5ton combat wheel. It will bead up. A tube type tire can go on a tubeless wheel. It does not hurt it. If you do it in an emergency i recommend putting it on the intermediate axle so it does not have alot of weight on it empty.
