All,

Looking to track down some PVC bead locks for my HMMWV. Was pointed to Trail Worthy Fab in Wichita, KS. Can't get them to answer email nor phone for going on 4 weeks. Are they still in business?

Ultimately all I want is 5 PVC bead locks to fit the stock HMMWV wheels. If anybody has any extra to part with or knows of where else I might find good quality options, I'm all ears.

Thanks,
SJ/JD

Although I love the product and would recommend, TrailWorthy Fab was difficult to communicate with when I purchased a few years back. Hopefully they are just slow because of the holidays. Eventually they answered the phone to address my questions. I believe that I then just ordered everything via their website. Shipping was professional and undamaged upon arrival.
I hope they are still in business. Good Luck.

Their stuff has come recommended. I'll give them that.

I saw some reviews online about communications. I don't tend to pay a whole lot of attention to online reviews to start with. But, if like with these guys, the experience matches up... no small part of being in business is customer service. And that includes answering the phone and email.

I get it if they're busy or on holiday. But something. Just because there's a website where credit card info can be poked in isn't enough (for me and for others apparently) when spending $100s.

They are who I got the recentered Humvee wheels from for my "M715A2".

The good - great product, very happy with it. Very nice people.

The bad - communication. Very nice people, but hard to get a hold of. I'd talk to the office lady, who would tell someone to call me back, and then wait. And after a day or two call back and talk to the office lady....

The good - once I did talk to the sales guy, he was very helpful and informative, and once my order was placed the wheels showed up quickly thereafter.

I wasn't in a hurry, so it didn't bother me much. Others might not take it so well.

Cheers

ok so putting an online order was all it took to receive the product? with that feedback I'm ok placing an order. but, if you hadn't already had that experience would you have just put in an order on the website and considered it done? i'm still struggling with that... it's not like they're amazon where it's click&ship that millions of people use, it's a small shop?

Agreed, I would wait until someone cared enough to answer. Afterward, if they don’t ship in a “reasonable” amount of time, then call TWF and cancel your order AND then call your CC company and cancel the charge. The CC company will want a justifiable reason but failure to ship would be one. It’s one of the benefits you have as a consumer using a CC (Or at least I did).

Ok, so the poor guy was having family medical issues. ugh.

He is slowly getting back to normal and did have a moment to take my call. Affable guy, took the time to discuss and ensure I had the right bead locks. Apparently they're not all created the exact same - mainly down to width is my understanding but I'm no tire guy so don't quote me on that.

He has my order and will get it out within 2-5 days. Which maybe take more time because of other things going on. But the point is, I felt it fair to give the guy props after putting out the rest of this thread. Really looking forward to having his product and getting the M998 back on the road!

Wanted to circle back on this in case anybody ran across it at a later date:

The beadlocks are Quality - worth the wait. They were FAR easier to work with than it would've been to migrate the original run flats over to the new tires. After mounting 4 news tires and beadlocks in an afternoon I now feel like an old hand at it. Ha!

For those wondering how to do it, there's a great video on youtube covering it:

Good luck!
