Trailer Hitch

I have a trailer that I use to haul my Jeep around with to different shows. It is painted OD to match the Jeep and of course there are stars, Unite Markings, military lights and on the side I even have TP printed to show the correct tire presure. The hitch is the civi ball type.
Anyway, I would like to use this trailer in parades to haul any additional guest in. What I like to do is change my civi ball hitch to a military pintal hitch. I need to know if there is anything that I should do to ensure that the hitch is weilded correctly. Also, what size pintel should I use?

I will be using my M37 to haul this trailer around.

Thanks

Carmen

Heartland,
I do the same, I added a ring to my trailer and pull it with my Duce. I can also still pull it with my pickup truck, added a set of 24 volts lights as well as the 12 volts.

Haulng of passengers in a trailer is illegal in most states.. Lunette eye and Pintle hook is the stronger way to go for sure..I suggest you use a professional certified welder. You can buy pintles and lunettes at any NAPA truck store with the rating you need...

genius, pure genius!.

i was trying to figure out how to build a low "tug" hitch for my duece, never thought of addind a high lunette to the trailer. i guess i will just have to be more careful about dropping the tailgate on the pickup when pulling the horse trailer.

good deal!
