I checked the the transmission fluid today on my M35A3 and when I pulled the dip-stick the fluid shot up the tube like it was under presure. Any ideas why this would happion?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Yup, vent tube is clogged. Have a friend crawl under the truck and find the vent tube on the side of the transmission. Have him jiggle the tube so you know which one of the hoses on the back of the cab it is. Blow some compressed air through that tube with the trans dipstick out....... = "Winning".Yea I do believe one of the three vent tubes is clogged. Under the truck there are three small black tubes if I rember run up the back of cab. Find the one that goes to the trans and suck it out. I would not blow into it but try and suck it out or disconnect it from trans and then blow it out.![]()
It's a valid point. The only reason I dont want air blowen into the trans is if its a muddobber you will push the mud into the trans.
Your call!!!!!!!!!!!!
One key to the left. Now I don't feel so bad about my spelling and quick typing. Thanks I will watch my can. It's a valid point.
I was changing my trans fluid at the time so I didn't care. But I will tell you that when that hose is plugged that dipstick tube will shoot trans fluid all over the can if you try to fill it.
