How will a 6.2 Diesel act with a 3 bolt Torque converter. I was removing my broken starter and saw that someone used a gas job one. I really don't feel like dropping the tranny out to change it to the correct one.

That wouldnt work with your starter, gas/diesel is different tooth
The 700r4 uses 3 bolts, but i thought the were on a different circle than the 400
Wonder whats in there

I replaced one over the weekend, its just a bunch of work nothing hard.

Gas job one? starter or flywheel torque converter???? The 400 converter is a 3 bolt, all of them are.

it depends on the rebuilder, if the weld them together with a 3 bolt thats what you get, i've gotten them either way with the same part number. it's the same converter with the same stall,,it's a 6.2 in a medium duty truck at best, you're not gonna break the tabs

Do what you like
