Tried to oil my airpack....

I had some extra time after a servicing yesterday, and decided to oil my airpack.

I was fortunate enough that the square plug unscrewed with just a little bit of convincing. I grabbed a syringe and 1oz of air tool oil and started to put it in. I got about 1/3 of it in, when it started oozing back out.

That plug is pretty high up on the airpack cylinder, and 1/3oz is not very much for it to start oozing back out. How likely is it my airpack is half full of water or something else already, and that oil was enough to push it out the fill hole?

Is it possible I just squirted it in too fast? Anyone else had this issue? I don't want to R&R the airpack if I don't have to, but if it needs to be done I would rather do it now while I am already doing some other brake work.

I appreciate the feedback.

Seth, a little goes a long way. Try what you have squirted in and call it good.

If you put too much in it just lays in the bottom of the piston assembly and really does nothing.
