turbo crossover question

I have recently got my hands on a gt 38 turbo and was wondering if for the manifolds not even buying turbo manifolds and making the crossover with the flange on it or would that not work?

look at the short drivers side hummer manifold. it has a vband clamp in the end. It can be put on passenger side so it faces forward. you can use the stock drivers side, build cross over to come to the front of the motor and up past the drivers cross over will have branch to second manifold and then up to the turbo mount.

you can use two of the hummer manifolds and do front cross over but a custom elbow has to be made to get the drivers side to turn down behind the hydro pump.

I have the banks manifold and I am considering selling and putting the turbo mount on the cross over with two hummer manifolds.
trying to resolve issues on my New GEP engine but plan to start the build in a couple weeks.

no, one drops down in the center so on the opposite side it hits the cross member and the other has a long stem out the back that runs past the hydro pump when switched.

The passenger side hummer manifold can be used on both sides, however, on the passenger side the glow plug tabs have to be bent over, it is tight clearance.

your easiest way out on the drivers side is get the banks manifold. you can find them on the auction sites for less than $400. you can use stock passenger manifold but crossover can be cumbersome depending on your lift and other issues. I only know of one front crossover like I am doing (banks with stubby hummer on drivers side) and I actually have not seen it yet just been told about it. I have done a mock up with mine and it is going to work but the custom elbow will be a tight fit behind the hydro pump.

you can do a 6.5 passenger manifold but normally the exhaust then has to route outside the frame because the cross over is coming up were the current exhaust is located.

not sure if the turbo you are using fits the banks manifold directly or if you have to get an adapter. adapters are available.
