***URGENT*** MEP 803a set-up question ***SOLVED***

Hi folks,

I live on wiped out Pine Island in sw Florida courtesy of Hurricane Ian.
Just finished setting up my generator.
Would like you guys to sign off on what you see in the attached pics.
For some reason I think I saw somewhere the bar on the bottom right having to be removed when running the gen on 240 Volt?

How are you feeding in to your House?
did you fully disconnect from the utility grid?

Was any of your electrical wiring on wherever you are connecting to submerged in water / saltwater / brack water?

We need to see / know these things as well - this is a dremendous liability to advice someone in such a situation as this can potentially kill someone and or cause a fire

The answer is no. What Peter is getting at, is the 1000 million Dollar question. Did you disconnect from the the grid? That determines what you need to do. Voltage has nothing to do with you question. And how did you disconnect it?

Nothing was flooded here @ the house.
Had a 13kw Honda running the house but someone plugged in the hot tub and the Honda took some damage.

You've got the right wire gauge... more than enough IAW NEC. I don't know what that strap does.

Main breaker is off.
Neutral and both phases in place on the outlet side.
Ground connected to 8' grounding rod.

A big Honda gen ran the house until last night but someone plugged in a hot tub and the Honda overloaded and took damage.

1. The incoming Neutral cannot be left connected because they run straight out to pole

2. can you pull meter?

3. Can this box be locked with a pad lock?

4. what happened to your incoming utility power pole / transformer?

5. Does your house have a green wire on each outlet for earth grounding or is this a two wire Phase Neutral no ground wire installation from back in the day?

Power poles broke off on the main feeder line by the road about 3 miles away.

Yes, it's a 2 wire phase + neutral.

They're all replied to.

Great, this bonds the generator neutral to its chassis and your ground rod.
This is your current main bond and the only bond since you have no ground wires inside your breaker panel

Your Generator is going to fall off the pallets!! Move the Generator to the Ground where it can sink in if the ground is still soaked

Tape off the incoming Neutral in the box!!!!!
Lock the Box!!!!!

Pull The Meter if at all possible!!!!

You have to be completely off Grid before you can proceed!!!!!
