Used 6.2 history

I won a couple of 6.2 cucv motors and was wondering if the info on the valve cover means anything. ser# wovc15e3148, bore std, mains std, rods std, badge b311, contract 351155, date 3021, nsn-2815-01-314-7940, any help would be great.

that wont help you at all to figure out how much they have been used. butsomeone with access to the supply system might be able to tell you when the engines where ordered.

date 3021 is a Julian Date.. means it was made either the 21st day of 2003, or 1993. No way to tell...

it was made in 93. most 6.2 in the supply system were being rebuilt after 02. so everyone was getting rebuilds till we switched everything over to the 6.5
