VALVE:AIR SUPPLY ASSEMBLY

The TM says it is the right one (I hope).

It's the one under the dash on the right hand side for aux air and I have one leaking and it has some corrosion on it.

thx

Mine was stubborn and leaking, was able to take it apart, clean, and it works now. If not, plenty of people scraping deuces out should have one.

Just hauled one off with what was left of a truck yesterday to the scrap yard.

Gimpyrobb is parting a truck. I bet he's got one.

Steve, you can screw on a quick coupler unless it's leaking from the valve handle. They are somewhat fixable.

Thanks to all who responded. I;m going to try and get one AND rebuild the one that is in it for a spare.

so i actually used this valve the other weekend and now it is leaking like a sieve from the valve handle (both sides).

did anyone find a source for this valve?

if not, does anyone have one in good operable (i.e. air tight) condition?

or has anyone found a suitable alternative?

A gas valve will not have the relief port on it.
I would use a ball valve and adapt the configuration of the handle.
But then a most ball valves do not have a relief either.

Not to threadjack or anything, but with that valve, would you hook up an air hose connector to the side port sticking straight into the cab, or the port opposite the incoming air line pointing to the passenger side of the cab?

this will sound like an incredibly stoopid question, but why would i need a relief port at this valve? i haven't taken it off, but thought it was just a ball valve.

i have blow-off valves on my tank - what value is a relief port at this valve?
