My new trucks alternator regulator has gone out.
The alternator is a C.E. Niehoff 28V / 12V. I have learned that it was a prototype like most of the truck and the company (sure-Power) that made the regulator no longer makes regulators.
I then researched buying a modern regulator after tearing the guts out of my alternator and asertained the wiring to be the same as the new ones.
I contacted a "military" distributor" for Neihoff and was told that I would not be able to buy a modern regulator for my alternator without...
