What does quick wait light flash then 4 seconds later again then 4 seconds later

My glow plug system isn't working right. It flashes once after turning switch to run, then about 3-4 seconds later flashes again, then 3-4 seconds later flashes again...... Does that 4 times I think. Does my TSU need replacement? I put in the ground wire from the block to the box thinking that would cure it, no dice. Anybody have a chart on what the wait light flashes mean?

Gotta be the box..... I tapped on it with a wrench then the light came on for 7 seconds 3 times in a row, started right up each time instantly. Then it's back to quick flash, I even got 3-4 seconds solid in the mix here now...... What a crap system.
when I get the quick flash the ammeter isn't diving down like it does when the glow plugs are cycling.

Quick flash means you didn't get glow plug ignition...just like when it's hot. I have successfully reset the EESS buy removing the power and letting it sit for a few minutes....unless it's a hard fault.

That's what I thought. thanks for verifying it. Okay, like I said before, my TSU apparently is telling the box 70 degrees or below. Wierd stuff. Today I get home, it was cooler last night and about 66 degrees now so coolant's gonna be about 66 degrees or less. What happens repeatedly when I turn it to run, Works as it should!!!!!!..... Guess I can live with this, just a little more cranking time when it's at 70 or above from a cold start. For some reason my TSU is set or malfunctioned to 70 degrees, or the box is...... I'll try disconnecting for a few minutes but that's what it's always done. Yesterday it was right around 70 degrees or so and it was all over the place, sometimes working sometimes just giving the flash..... Is there any chance my TSU was made to trip the glow plug system at 70 degrees rather than the 120 the TM shows?

just replace the TSU...they are cheap...IMO, like $50.00 or less
