Anyone know what this is? Looks like a 6.2/6.5 but I am not sure.

I like the intake manifold

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the 6.5 with those pulleys and the oil filter mount.

is the intake manifold for a stock 6.2 and a stock 6.5 the same?

If so I wonder if those would fit a 6.2

AM General now makes their own engine based on the 6.5. You could check the 34P and might find out in the intake interchange. Wayne

That is a 6.5 turbo. Being the center mount turbo engine, it will not fit the standard 6.5 or the 6.2. The head-intake interface angle is different.

the heads on the other hand, will interchange along with the intake/turbo assembly.


FYI, the AMG engine based on the 6.5 is the same engine, with minor updates as the GM 6.5.

Looking at 34p I only see the standard intake manifold.

You must look into the Humvee -34 to look at the parts. The cucv never had a 6.5 in it from the factory.

My reference was for the engine 34P, that will covers the 1990 t0 2001 6.2/6.5 naturally aspirated and turbocharged HMMWV. Wayne
