For what it's worth.....some of my trucks have it, some do not. That goes for all the parts trucks also.

Ah, we had this discussion at some point in the past. I seem to remember thinking the consensus was radio/commo related.

Yep. Its where you put the wiring harness/connector to the radio. The radio mount goes under the pass seat and the connector plugs/screws to the harness that goes to the batteries for power. There should be a knock out/hole on the floor close by to get the power cables to the batteries. The wiring diagram shows radio cable assembly #7731417 mounting there.

The radio hookup live plug was there on the first coupla contracts of M35s in 1951 and 1952. Then it became a part of the radio kit and was eliminated in production. It is the same plug you find on the M38 A1 to the right of the passenger seat. RAM
