what is the largest tire you can put on a XM215

I just sold a 1971 M35A2 with 395/85/20 on it and I am looking at a 1952 XM215 and would like to run better than 45mph not looking to set a speed record but would like to do 55mph

You could run duel 11x20s no on the existing rims problem. The Canadian version M216 ran singled 11x20 on M135 rims. I think any tire size larger would really cut in the already stretched HP of the powertrain.

I've looked at most of the tire choices and believe I'm going to end up running 1100 by 20s and duels on my 215. I really like the Goodyear G177.
